Cold Water Swimming Information Session

Please Note Under Tier 2 Restrictions These Sessions Will Take Place OUTDOORS

A session for swimmers to be fully informed and prepared for the Winter Swimming months ahead


An informal discussion 

Winter Swimming is a high risk activity 

Last year we found that swimmers who were fully informed on the following aspects ;

• Swimmer Physiological Response to cold water – 4 key stages,

• Swimmer good practice,  i.e what you can do to help yourself to swim safely in cold water.

• What we as a venue do to facilitate swimmers safety

Swimmers enjoyed their swim sessions, with realistic expectations and increase their body’s cold water adaption sensibly and safely.
