Session Outline:- 2 hours duration
- Theory 60 mins classroom based followed
- Guided IN Water session (OPTIONAL) – with water safety team
- Warm drink/cake
- Revise
Please bring swim kit , wetsuits are optional. Plus warm hat, gloves, thick socks , warm layers for body to put on after water session.

Description
As our regular winter swimmers know safety is key to all Winter Swimming Sessions
It is important to us that all swimmers are fully informed and understand how your body may respond to cold water, hence, if you are trying Winter Swimming for the first time, we strongly urge all you to attend a Winter Swimming Information session.
Session Outline:- 2 hour duration
- Theory 60 mins classroom based theory followed by
- Guided IN Water session (OPTIONAL) – with water safety team

Information Covered:-
- A Swimmers physiological Response to Cold Water – your body’s automatic reactions to a stimulus, in this case cold water swimming
- Swimmer Good Practice – what you can do help yourself enjoy safe and effective Cold-Water Swims – what kit to bring
- What we do as a venue Operator and Water Safety Team to ensure your safety whilst on site and in the water -How the session is managed both in and out of the water, the swim circuits and the safety arrangements
